MATH 217 - Geometry and Measurement for PK-8 Teachers

Measurement and geometry with a focus on understanding and explaining mathematical concepts. Systems of measurement, plane figures, properties of polygons, three dimensional figures, area and perimeter, volume and surface area, geometric patterns, estimation, problem solving and number concepts integrated within the real world situations.
Prereq: Minimum ACT MATH score of 25 or SAT MATH score of 570. A grade of “C” or better in MATH 117 and one of the following: MATH 107 , MATH 103 and MATH 104 , or MATH 105 .
