Choose two sophomore surveys in one of the following sequences: ENGL 201 -ENGL 202  ; ENGL 205 -ENGL 206 ; ENGL 201 -ENGL 205 ; ENGL 202 -ENGL 206 ; and one open 200/300-level ENGL elective for a total of 9 hours. Students eligible for ENGL 215  and ENGL 216  may take these courses instead of the sophomore surveys.

A total of 12 hours of 300 and 400-level ENGL courses, 9 of which must be in Literature. At least 12 hours of ENGL 400 level courses are required (exclusive of ENGL 490 ); these hours may be partially satisfied with ENGL 423G /ENGL 424G , ENGL 459G  and the Major Figures course.

Minor (6 Credits)


Choose electives to complete 18-hour minor. Six of these must be 300 level or above.
