Examine the difference between shales and conventional reservoirs. Characterization of unconventional reservoirs with respect to their permeability, mineralogical composition, anisotropic behavior, geomechanical properties and well log responses.

Prerequisite(s): PETE 313 and PETE 314 with a grade of “C” or better.
