CMPS 460G - Database Management Systems Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 0 Concepts, architecture, data models, and design and implementation using the entity-relationship model (or class diagram). Declaration and manipulation of data using SQL. Advanced SQL topics, including stored procedures, triggers, and transactions. Embedded SQL and web-based database application development. Additional topics include normalization, query optimization, and database security. Emphasis is placed on practical skills relevant to modern data-centric applications.
