Undergraduate Degree Requirements
Special Requirements for the School of Music and Performing Arts
- All students pursuing the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Music Education degrees are responsible for policies and procedures outlined in the Applied Music Curriculum Guide, which can be found at http://music.louisiana.edu/AppliedMusicCurriculumGuide15-16.html.
- All Performing Arts majors are required to participate in the PFAR Student Assessment process each semester as required by their chosen area of study (theatre or dance) in order to maintain status as a Performing Arts major. A student may apply to be readmitted to the Performing Arts Program after one semester of satisfactory progress toward the degree and participation in departmental productions and the Student Assessment process
- All Performing Arts majors enrolled are required to participate in the production process of departmental presentations on a semesterly basis.
- Students must meet requirements #2 and #3 above to ultimately enroll in 400-level Performing Arts courses.
- The department supports a “no-pass, no-play” policy: students falling below a 2.0 GPA in any given semester will not be eligible to participate in productions the following semester.
