Praxis Exam Requirements: Prior to student teaching, students must pass the Praxis core Academic Skills for Educators: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics or submit an ACT composite score of 22 or higher. Students must also pass the Praxis Elementary Education: Content Knowledge (5018) or (effective 9/1/17) the Praxis Elementary Education: Multiple Subjects (5001) - Reading/Language Arts (5002), Mathematics (5003), Social Studies (5004), and Science (5005), and the Praxis Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades K-6 (5622).

Fine Arts (3 Credits)
Choose from the General Education Core list of Fine Arts courses in consultation with academic advisor.
Natural Sciences (3 Credits)
Choose from BIOL, CHEM, GEOL, or PHYS. Students cannot receive credit for both GEOL 225 and GEOL 105 .
Six hours must be in a single biological (BIOL) or physical (CHEM, GEOL, PHYS) science and three hours in the other natural science area not chosen. Science requirements may not be satisfied by three courses in the same department.
