Biology, B.S., Veterinary Bioscience Concentration

Total Credit Hours: 120-124
Career Opportunities: Entry into veterinary professional school (for Dr. of Veterinary Medicine) or graduate school (M.S. or Ph.D.), veterinary assistant, animal care, federal and state government laboratories and agencies, forensic laboratories, and zoological parks.
Note To qualify for graduation, a student must earn a grade of “C” or better in all BIOL courses that are applicable to the degree.
A minimum of 45 hours of 300 and 400 level courses must be taken to meet graduation requirements.

Social/Behavioral Sciences (3 Credits)


Choose from the General Education Core Curriculum  list of Social/Behavioral Science courses. Three hours must be at the 200-level or above.

Biology (3 Credits)


Must be approved by the student’s academic advisor.

General Electives (5 Credits)


Students interested in veterinary school should consider BIOL 313 BIOL 316 BIOL 410 BIOL 417  and courses in BADM and MGMT.

Total: 29-30 Credits


Junior Year
