Note(s):
• The Bachelor of Science and Health Information Management (HIM) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The program is conducted without discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, sex, age, handicaps or national origin.

• A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in every course in the HIM curriculum. In order to enter the junior year in the curriculum, each student must have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 as computed by the Registrar. In order to enter the junior year, each student must have completed every required course or its equivalent through the sophomore year with a minimum grade of “C.”

• Completion of the HIM program includes a minor in Health Informatics.

Communication (3 credit hours)


CMCN 100  is recommended. Students may choose the General Education Curriculum  course list of Communication courses in consultation with academic advisor.

Social/Behavioral Sciences (6 credit hours)


PSYC 110  and SOCI 241  are strongly recommended. Students may choose from the General Education Curriculum  list of Social/Behavioral Sciences course list in consultation with academic advisor.
