The Instructional Coach graduate certificate provides graduate training necessary to position students to refine, reform, or develop curricula for themselves as well as their pre-service, novice, or veteran peers. Students must already possess an undergraduate degree and teacher certification and should be seeking demonstrative ways to improve (and subsequently share) their pedagogical expertise. This certificate program fulfills the requirements for a Louisiana Department of Education add-on certification as an Instructional Coach; once completing the program, student must individually apply to the Louisiana Department of Education to officially receive the credential. Students completing the 12 credit hour program will earn a graduate certificate that will appear on their permanent transcript. This certificate program may be pursued in conjunction with a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. All twelve hours of the program are transferable to a Master Degree in Curriculum and Instruction provided students earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA in said coursework.
