Additional Requirements:
Students must earn at least an overall 2.5 GPA and an overall 2.5 GPA in all major courses.

Students must take 18 hours of courses in two chosen Middle School Focus areas.

Praxis Exam Requirements: Prior to student teaching, students must pass the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators: Reading, Writing, and Mathematics or submit an ACT composite score of 22 or higher. Students must also pass the Praxis Middle School Social Studies: Content Knowledge (5089), and the Principles of Learning and Teaching: Grades 5-9 (5623).
Note(s):
1 Choose from Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Physics. Students cannot get credit for both GEOL 105  and GEOL 225 .
2 EDCI Methods must be completed in the selected Focus Area. EDCI 422  (fall); EDCI 423  (fall); EDCI 352  (spring)
