2020-2021 Undergraduate and Graduate Academic Catalog

Welcome to the 2020-2021 Academic Catalog

The effective date of this Academic Catalog is the first day of the Fall Semester, August 2020.

This Academic Catalog is designed to provide both an overview of general information about the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a detailed explanation of the University’s degree programs, curricular requirements, and rules and regulations related to Academic Affairs. Additional information about student life-organizations, social and personal support services, and policies-is delineated in the Student Handbook, published by the Office of Student Affairs.

This Academic Catalog is available for examination in high schools, colleges, universities, public libraries, United States Government offices, and all University of Louisiana at Lafayette academic offices.

This Academic Catalog represents a bona fide effort at an accurate description of the curricula, course offerings, Academic Affairs rules and regulations, and facilities of the undergraduate and graduate programs of the University in effect at the time of its publication, but it is not a contract, or an offer to contract, which may be accepted by enrolling in the University. The University reserves the right to make changes in the arrangements, described herein, without notice. Students must take the initiative in ascertaining and meeting the requirements of the particular program in which they are enrolled.

This Academic Catalog is published annually by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in the spring.

The course offerings and requirements of the institution are continually under examination and revision, therefore the institution reserves the right to make changes as required in course offerings, curricula, academic policies, and other rules and regulations. These changes will govern current and formerly enrolled students. Enrollment of all students is subject to these conditions.
