Overview of health information technology systems. Topics include database architecture and design, storage media, disaster recovery, cloud computing, corporate strategic plan, operation improvement planning, information management plan, system development life cycle, project management, information infrastructure, and related topics and concepts.
Prerequisite(s): LCHI 303 or LCHI 307 with a “C” or better
Corequisite(s): Health Information Management Majors: IPHE 310 , HIM 321 , HIM 323 , HIM 431 , and HIM 460
Restriction(s): Health Services Administration, Health Information Management and Informatics majors only.
