Introduction to Internet of Things (IoT); Understanding IoT Components (Sensors, Actuators, Communication Modules & Standards); Microcontroller Platform Arduino/Galileo (Boards, IDE, Emulators, Programming); Data Management (Reading from Sensors, Data Processing, Communication with the Cloud); Design & deploy a sample IoT based control algorithm in the cloud.

Course Notes: It is recommended students have a background in engineering analysis, basic statistics, sensors and instrumentation, programming knowledge in MATLAB or Python.
