ASL 328 - Literacy Foundations for Deaf Children Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Contact Hours: 3 Lab Contact Hours: 0 Theories, research, and literature in language and literacy acquisition and learning. Examination of student beliefs related to literacy development and development of a foundational understanding of visually based literacy approaches for deaf children. Prepares students to read to and interact with deaf children using comprehensible, accessible, and meaningful literacy strategies.
