Development of skills in poetry composition with emphasis on traditional forms and patterns as well as contemporary trends; critical analysis of student works. Students not meeting prerequisites may enroll with permission of instructor.

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 102 , ESOL 102 , or ENGL 115 with a grade of “C” or better, or advanced placement; and ENGL 223
