Special Education, Mild/Moderate Grades 6-12, Add-On Certification

Once you have completed all 18 semester hours as listed below, plus passed both Praxis exam requirements, you must send your official transcript(s) with a completed Change-of-Action Packet to the Louisiana Department of Education, Division of Teacher Certification and Higher Education. Pre-requisite Course: Foundations/Survey of Exceptional Children - SPED 300, SPED 391 , SPED 491G  or equivalent.
