The minimum requirements for admission to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine are: completion of the “Pre-Vet” 66-hour curriculum with a grade of “C” or better, and a GPA of 3.0 or greater. An advisor in the Department of Biology is available to assist students with course offerings and to provide information about applying to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Students wishing to transfer to any other veterinary school should obtain detailed information about the requirements for that particular program. Incorporating requirements of the biology major into the course electives under this transfer program is encouraged as this will help students complete an undergraduate degree in a timely fashion should they decide not to attend veterinary school.
